Volleyball Game Preview: Glenbard West Hilltoppers vs. Wheaton North Falcons

The Glenbard West Hilltoppers will head out to square off against the Wheaton North Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Glenbard West has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight defeats, while Wheaton North will come in with three straight victories.

Last Thursday, Glenbard West came up short against Benet Academy and fell 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-16.

Meanwhile, it was a classic North v. South duel when Wheaton North challenged Wheaton-Warrenville South on Tuesday. The Falcons walked away with a 2-0 win over the Tigers. The game was the first time the Falcons have beaten the Tigers on their court since September 12, 2017.

Wheaton North easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-15.

Wheaton North's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Glenbard West, their loss dropped their record down to 17-5.

Glenbard West beat Wheaton North 2-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hilltoppers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
