Sycamore is a perfect 6-0 against Sterling since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Spartans will look to defend their home pitch against the Golden Warriors at 4:30 p.m.

Sycamore is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Geneva just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Monday. They lost 8-0 to the Vikings. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Sycamore's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sterling walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bulldogs on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for Sterling as it spelled an end to their 11-match losing streak.

Sterling's win bumped their record up to 4-21. As for Sycamore, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.

Sycamore was able to grind out a solid victory over Sterling when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Golden Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
