Baseball Recap: Enterprise Find Success

Enterprise won against Amite County on Thursday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Yellowjackets didn't even let the Trojans on the board, marking the Yellowjackets' second-straight 15-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won nine in a row.

Kelly Burgess made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Burgess was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

In other batting news, AJ Raiford was incredible, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-2. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lane Brister, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Enterprise always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Enterprise's record now sits at 15-9. As for Amite County, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Enterprise beat the Trojans by a score of 15-0 later that day.
