Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Chino Hills

Chino Hills waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 9-8 W against the La Habra Highlanders. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Huskies have posted since April 13, 2024.

Lily Stopani spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brett Lambrecht, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Kyler Del Duca, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Chino Hills' win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for La Habra, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 8-4.
