Basketball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lincoln can now relate to. They took a 46-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Providence Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-56 back in December of 2024.

Lincoln has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season. As for North Providence, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 20-1.

Looking ahead, Lincoln won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Barrington at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Providence, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Coventry on Wednesday.
