Preview: Fort Madison Bloodhounds vs. Clark County Indians

Fort Madison is 7-1 against Clark County since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Fort Madison Bloodhounds will head out on the road to challenge the Clark County Indians at 7:30 p.m. Clark County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fort Madison, who comes in off a win.

Even though Fort Madison has not done well against Mt. Pleasant recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Fort Madison pulled ahead with a 53-52 photo finish over Mt. Pleasant. The victory was all the more spectacular given Fort Madison's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Mt. Pleasant is ranked 77th).

Meanwhile, Clark County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They suffered a rough 64-43 defeat at the hands of Van-Far. Clark County has not had much luck with Van-Far recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

The victory makes it two in a row for Fort Madison and bumps their season record up to 5-5. As for Clark County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Everything came up roses for Fort Madison against Clark County in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 69-34 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Madison since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
