Basketball Game Preview: Central City Value Jaguars vs. Animo Bunche Stallions

Central City Value is 9-1 against Animo Bunche since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Central City Value Jaguars will venture away from home to square off against the Animo Bunche Stallions at 2:00 p.m.

Central City Value is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Animo Venice on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Central City Value was beaten by Animo Venice 80-47. The Jaguars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-16.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Andy Lobos, who posted 19 points in addition to five assists and five steals. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Valencia, who put up nine points along with six assists and five steals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Animo Bunche). They blew past Annenberg, posting a 54-27 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Stallions.

The victory got Animo Bunche back to even at 5-5. As for Central City Value, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Central City Value came up short against Animo Bunche in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 53-42. Can Central City Value avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
