Recap: Orosi Cardinals vs. Summit Charter Collegiate Academy Bears
If the Orosi Cardinals were feeling good off their 66-22 takedown of the Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Orosi fell 57-47 to Summit Charter Collegiate Academy on Wednesday. Orosi was down 53-33 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Orosi's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryant Gomez, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Cristian Montejano was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Orosi's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Summit Charter Collegiate Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Orange Cove the next time they take the court. Summit Charter Collegiate Academy will head out to face Orange Cove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Orosi will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
