East Columbus has gone 9-0-1 against West Columbus recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Gators will head out to challenge the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

East Columbus fell victim to Heide Trask and their airtight defense two weeks ago. They lost 9-0 to the Titans. While losing is never fun, East Columbus can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 526th, while Heide Trask are ranked 248th).

Meanwhile, West Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch last Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against Pender, falling 6-0.

East Columbus has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for West Columbus, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

East Columbus took their win against West Columbus in their previous meeting back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 5-1 score. Will the Gators repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
