Football Recap: Allentown Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Allentown extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They took a blow against the Northern Burlington Greyhounds, falling 41-6. While losing is never fun, the Redbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 98th).

Anthony O' Rourke threw for 68 yards on 11 of 22 attempts.

As for Northern Burlington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Northern Burlington's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brent Walulak, who rushed for 73 yards and three TDs on only five carries, and also threw for 138 yards on nine of 14 attempts. Gabriel Gamble was Walulak's top target, picking up zero receiving yards.

Coming up, Allentown will challenge Ewing at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northern Burlington has already played their next game (against Trenton Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
