Volleyball Game Preview: Gateway Charter Griffins vs. Bishop Verot Vikings

Gateway Charter is 0-10 against Bishop Verot since October of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Griffins will square off against the Vikings at 6:00 p.m.

Gateway Charter came up short against Moore Haven on Thursday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Bishop Verot made easy work of Palmetto Ridge on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Bishop Verot was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-7, 25-20.

Gateway Charter's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Bishop Verot, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Gateway Charter suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Bishop Verot in their previous meeting back in October of 2023. Can the Griffins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
