Minnechaug Regional and Pittsfield are an even 4-4 against one another since June of 2017, but likely not for long. The Falcons will square off against the Generals at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Minnechaug Regional came up short against Hampshire Regional on Thursday, falling 17-7. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Veronica Ouimet made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Alexa Sherman was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Pittsfield's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Agawam on Thursday.

Pittsfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gionnah Levardi, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Minnechaug Regional now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Pittsfield, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Minnechaug Regional suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Pittsfield in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
