The West Cabarrus Wolverines are taking a road trip to take on the Mooresville Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Cabarrus is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, West Cabarrus finally turned things around against A.L. Brown on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wonders.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18, 20-25, 25-22.
Meanwhile, Mooresville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell just short of South Iredell by a score of 3-2.
Mooresville took South Iredell into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 22-25, 22-25, 15-10.
West Cabarrus' victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Mooresville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
