Football Recap: Dobbs Ferry Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dobbs Ferry can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Bronxville Broncos and fell 56-6. Having soared to a lofty 47 points in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

It was another big night for Brian Formato, who rushed for 196 yards and three TDs on only seven carries for Bronxville. Formato has been hot, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last six times he's played. Brady Dolan made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Dobbs Ferry's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Bronxville, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Dobbs Ferry does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bronxville, they will challenge Chester-Seward at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Broncos 14.3, the Hambletonians 13.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
