Lakeview entered their tilt with LaSalle on Tuesday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They put the hurt on the LaSalle Tigers with a sharp 66-46 victory. Given the Gators' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Tigers are ranked 194th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lakeview's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.6 points per game. As for LaSalle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.

Lakeview will venture away from home to face off against Logansport at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Logansport knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Lakeview likes a good challenge.
