WOODBERRY FOREST, Va. -
Woodberry Forest (Va.) defeated
Landon (Bethesda, Md.) 45-17.
The Tigers scored on a
Nate Ingram touchdown run, a touchdown pass by
Christian Zaytoun to
Greer Martini and a touchdown run by
Harold Minor in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a Ingram touchdown run in the second quarter, Woodberry Forest led 31-10 at the half.
WF grew its lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. The Tigers scored two times in the third, including once on a
Lindell Stone touchdown run.
Woodberry Forest's most effective player was Stone. The freshman quarterback ran for two touchdowns.
WF went into the matchup giving up only 12.6 points per game.
With the win the Tigers extended their winning streak to four games.
