Recap: Luling Eagles vs. Marion Bulldogs
The Luling Eagles''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by Marion 38-6. Luling was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Marion apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Luling's loss was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 2-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.2 points per game. As for Marion, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season.
Luling does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Marion will be playing in front of their home fans against Jourdanton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jourdanton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 449 points over their last ten matches.
