Softball Recap: Whitehall Comes Up Short

Whitehall managed to slip by Granville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Railroaders lost 19-3 to the Golden Horde on Wednesday. The Railroaders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Horde earlier this season, when they won 9-8.

Whitehall saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke Austin, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Whitehall's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Granville, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitehall will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fort Edward at 4:30 p.m. on the 28th. As for Granville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hartford Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
