Basketball Recap: Cross Keys Comes Up Short

Cross Keys played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy 63-32. The Phoenix were down 42-21 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Cross Keys' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Marta Reyes, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards, and Nicole Reseniz, who posted nine points in addition to three steals and three blocks. The dominant performance gave Reyes a new career-high in points.

Leading Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy to victory were Leah Hall and Autumn Davis. Hall put up 22 points, while Davis had 21 points. Another player making a difference was Janae Adderly, who posted ten points.

Cross Keys now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0-1.

Cross Keys didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 30-22 win against Fulton Science Academy on the 10th. As for Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fideles Christian at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
