Basketball Recap: Howard Gets the Win

Howard lost to Hephzibah back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Howard Huskies escaped with a win against the Hephzibah Rebels by the margin of a single free throw, 45-44. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.

Several Rebels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was JAMARCUS SALMOND, who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of ISAIAH RICHARDSON, who earned 11 points.

Howard's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Hephzibah, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Howard will take on Aquinas at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hephzibah, they will face off against Cross Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
