            The Princeton Tigers will venture away from home to  face off against the Hoover Huskies  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Princeton has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the  match with 12 straight  defeats, while Hoover will come in with three straight  victories.
It was a proper cat-fight when Princeton faced off against PikeView on Wednesday. The Tigers came up short against  the Panthers, falling  12-5.
  Landon Crane made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brody Combs, who  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, Hoover was not the first on the board  last Tuesday, but they got there more often. They had just enough and edged out Charleston Catholic  5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Huskies have posted  since May 20, 2024.
 Tristan Harless made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 In other pitching news,  Gabe Blackwell looked comfortable as he  pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in four consecutive appearances.
 Harless wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Colton Tawney, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.  Sam Kee also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
 Hoover's record now sits at 7-4. As for Princeton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
