Basketball Recap: Edgewood Find Success

Edgewood won the last time they faced Odyssey Charter School, and Caleb Trexler did his part to make sure it happened again. The Edgewood Red Wolves walked away with a 64-54 win over the Odyssey Charter School Titans on Monday thanks in part to Trexler, who went 10 for 14 en route to 24 points. Those 24 points gave him a new career-high.

Santiago Jimenez was another key player, putting up seven points along with ten rebounds and three steals. Jimenez is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Despite the loss, Odyssey Charter School still got an impressive performance from Jevenson Antoine, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Dammien Mosely, who posted 14 points and seven rebounds.

Edgewood's record is now 6-9. As for Odyssey Charter School, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing West Shore the next time they take the court. Odyssey Charter School will host West Shore at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Edgewood will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
