Baseball Recap: Piper Has No Trouble Against Shawnee Mission North

Piper entered their tilt with Shawnee Mission North on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Bison 9-2. That seven run margin sets a new team best for the Pirates this season.

Dylan Eikenbary made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Eikenbary was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jovahni Perez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiden Simons, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Piper's record now sits at 12-9. As for Shawnee Mission North, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-9.
