Basketball Recap: Mohonasen Warriors vs. Queensbury Spartans
Mohonasen lost against Queensbury back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mohonasen Warriors took a hard 56-42 fall against the Queensbury Spartans.
Leading Queensbury to victory were Troy Jorgensen and Chase Baker. Jorgensen dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds, while Baker went 5 for 11 en route to 14 points plus five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Marcus Gooden, who had four points in addition to eight rebounds.
Mohonasen's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Queensbury, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Mohonasen will head out on the road to face off against Gloversville at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Queensbury, they and Broadalbin-Perth are set to duel on Thursday.
