Softball Recap: Ellsworth Sets Scoring Season-High Against Caribou

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ellsworth). They blew past the Caribou Vikings 22-3 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

The team relied heavily on Mya Schildroth, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Damon, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Ellsworth always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .650. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Ellsworth back to even at 6-6. As for Caribou, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Ellsworth will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vikings: the pair will be back at it again later today.
