Baseball Recap: New Bern Comes Up Short

New Bern lost to J.H. Rose back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bears came up short against the Rampants, falling 18-2. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Bern's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for J.H. Rose, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. New Bern will venture away from home to challenge Havelock at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for J.H. Rose, they will head out to face off against D.H. Conley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rampants 1.8, the Vikings 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
