Softball Recap: East Henderson Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last four times East Henderson and North Henderson had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles came up short against the Knights on Friday, falling 13-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-5 on Tuesday.

East Henderson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiyra Bass, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Dalli Luther was another, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

East Henderson's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for North Henderson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-8.

Looking ahead, East Henderson will host Brevard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Henderson, they will head out to challenge Asheville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
