Beckville is a perfect 7-0 against Union Grove since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bearcats will welcome the Lions at 7:00 p.m. Beckville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Union Grove likes a good challenge.
On Thursday, Beckville was fully in charge, breezing past Hawkins 50-14. The victory continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won five in a row.
Jorden Prince went supernova, rushing for 112 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Grayson Hicks, who rushed for 77 yards and one score.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Beckville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 273 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Beckville's defense and their four sacks. Hawkins' QB won't forget Dillan Koger anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Koger has been hot recently, having also posted seven or more total tackles the last three times he's played. Beckville received some extra help from Tommy Heard, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Union Grove faced off against Harleton on Thursday. The Lions secured a 10-6 W over the Wildcats. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Lions were the better team in the second half.
Beckville's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Union Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Beckville has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 155.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Union Grove struggles in that department as they've been averaging 154 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Beckville against Union Grove when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 50-15 win. In that matchup, the Bearcats amassed a halftime lead of 43-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
