Basketball Recap: Prospect Mountain Comes Up Short

If Prospect Mountain was feeling good fresh off their 63-9 takedown of Somersworth last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Prospect Mountain Timberwolves had to suffer through a 62-13 loss at the hands of the Newfound Regional Bears. The game marked the Timberwolves' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Prospect Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Newfound Regional, their victory bumped their record up to 2-13.

Prospect Mountain and Newfound Regional's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Prospect Mountain will take on St. Thomas Aquinas at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, a team that's only allowed 22.27 points per game. Similarly, Newfound Regional and Gilford (who has only given up 29.94 points per game) will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
