McBee posted their closest victory since April 17, 2024 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Chesterfield Golden Rams 6-5. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Golden Rams back in March, they had to take a 7-3 loss.

The win made it two in a row for McBee and bumps their season record up to 7-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Chesterfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McBee will head out to square off against Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chesterfield, they will challenge Cheraw at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
