Recap: Hickory Red Tornadoes vs. Freedom Patriots
The Hickory Red Tornadoes put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Freedom at home to the tune of 77-44. With Hickory ahead 37-15 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Hickory had a senior duo take command as Jordan Lineberger scored 14 points and John Holbrook scored 14 points. The contest was Holbrook's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamien Little, who scored eight points.
Hickory pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.67 points. As for Freedom, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Hickory will stay at home for another game and welcome East Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. East Lincoln will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Hickory is ranked 22nd). As for Freedom, they will head out on the road to face off against Patton at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Patton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 359 points over their last five games.
