Baseball Recap: Splendora Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Saturday. Splendora fell 5-1 to Clear Creek. The match marked Splendora's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Splendora saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Sepanio, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Splendora's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Clear Creek, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5-1.

Coming up, Splendora will head out to square off against Pasadena at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Splendora's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Pasadena's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Clear Creek, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Dickinson at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Dickinson 2.2, Clear Creek 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
