Mohawk Area Gets a Boost from Fadden in 47-20 Defeat

Starting off the list is Mohawk Area's Bobby Fadden, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Fadden threw for 176 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.

Mohawk Area dropped their record down to 4-3 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Fadden and Mohawk Area will head out to challenge Freedom Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Ellwood City Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Kaden Docchio

Kaden Docchio's big game helped extend Ellwood City's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nobody could stop Docchio as he picked up two sacks, forced a fumble, and made seven total tackles. He is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made seven or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.

If history really does repeat itself, Docchio might just drop another big game when he faces off against Union Area on Friday. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Docchio saw the Scotties), he picked up two sacks and made ten total tackles.

Another Game with at Least Five Total Tackles from Deklan O'brien

Ellwood City picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Deklan O'Brien. O'Brien was unstoppable, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss). He is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.

On the year, O'Brien has averaged 8.1 total tackles per game and for the season has 5.5 sacks. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging five total tackles per game.

Palmer-Mccane Made His Presence Known in Ellwood City's 13-9 Victory

Elijah Palmer-McCane was instrumental in extending Ellwood City's winning streak to seven on Friday. Riverside had no answer to Palmer-McCane as he rushed for 148 yards. Palmer-McCane's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 110 rushing yards.

This season, Palmer-McCane has averaged 142.9 rushing yards per game.

Blake Logan Makes It Two for Mohawk Area

The second Mohawk Area player making an appearance here is Blake Logan, and for good reason. He picked up 86 receiving yards and a touchdown.

For the year, Logan has caught 6 touchdowns while averaging 81 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had one receiving touchdown.
