After a string of 17 wins, Frenship's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 6-2 to the Midland Bulldogs. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Frenship's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 20-3. As for Midland, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-5.

Frenship and Midland should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Tigers will take on Midland Legacy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (7 vs. 163). Meanwhile, Midland (ranked 28th) will meet Odessa (ranked 443rd) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
