Baseball Recap: Skyline Triumphs

The matchup between Skyline and McClymonds on Tuesday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Titans never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Quincy Ray-Madway made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Ray-Madway was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Dekker Desmond was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Errol Chinn, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.

Skyline always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Skyline's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for McClymonds, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Skyline will host Freedom at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. McClymonds will be paying especially close attention to the Titans' matchup: after the Titans face off against the Falcons, they'll take on McClymonds again at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
