Football Recap: Cornerstone Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cornerstone Christian can now relate to. They fell 40-36 to the Elsie Allen Lobos on Friday. The Cougars gained 121 more yards on the day, but it was the Lobos that made the best use of them.

When it comes to explaining why Cornerstone Christian lost, don't look at Matthew Miyahara. Despite the final result, he rushed for 274 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Miyahara's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 100 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Uriah Wade, who rushed for 106 yards and one TD on only ten carries.

Cornerstone Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Elsie Allen, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

As of now, neither Cornerstone Christian nor the Lobos have any future games scheduled.
