Baseball Recap: Liberty Victorious

Liberty won the last time they faced Glencoe and things went their way on Monday too. The Falcons came out on top against the Tide by a score of 8-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Ben James spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Dallas Ochoa was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Noah Nickerson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Liberty now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Glencoe, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

Liberty will have a chance to go back-to-back against Glencoe: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
