Basketball Recap: Hazlehurst Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hazlehurst was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 59-38 to the Puckett Wolves.

Despite the loss, Hazlehurst still got an impressive performance from Z'Kayla Martin, who posted eight points.

Puckett's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brooke Shivers led the charge by shooting 64% from the field on her way to 24 points and four steals. The matchup was Shivers' fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Caili McAfee, who had 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Hazlehurst's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Puckett, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Hazlehurst has already played their next contest, a 61-22 win against Hillcrest Christian on the 18th. As for Puckett, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 77-36 victory against Mississippi School for the Deaf on the 17th.
