Soccer Recap: Shaw Takes a Loss

After flying high against Euclid last Thursday, Shaw came back down to earth. The Cardinals lost 11-0 to the Mansfield Christian Flames on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Shaw can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 491st, while Mansfield Christian are ranked 104th).

Shaw has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Mansfield Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-1-1.

Shaw has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against McKinley on the 9th. As for Mansfield Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Lexington on the 9th.
