Baseball Game Preview: Treasure Coast Titans vs. Jensen Beach Falcons

The Treasure Coast Titans will square off against the Jensen Beach Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Treasure Coast came up short against Centennial and fell 4-1.

Treasure Coast got a good showing from Colin Jackson, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The Titans are 5-2 when Jackson allows one or fewer earned runs, but 5-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Treasure Coast saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Sanchez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Jayden Mongiove also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Jensen Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 7-3 to Vero Beach.

Treasure Coast's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Jensen Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.

Treasure Coast's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's match. The Titans have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Jensen Beach, though, as they've been averaging only 1.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Treasure Coast continue to outrun the ball?
