Baseball Recap: Mercer Island Starts Season with Loss at Home

Mercer Island unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Inglemoor Vikings on Monday, falling 10-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Islanders have suffered since April 24, 2024.

Mercer Island saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quinn Harper, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Inglemoor now has a winning record of 2-1.

Mercer Island has already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Bellevue on the 19th. As for Inglemoor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-7 victory against Hazen on the 24th.
