Basketball Recap: Cathedral Starts Season with Victory Against Lancaster

Cathedral gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They strolled past the Lancaster Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 59-44.

Despite the loss, Lancaster still got an impressive performance from Carter Dunnigan, who posted 20 points. Another player making a difference was Chace Beoranje, who earned 11 points.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Cathedral will head out to square off against Gabrielino at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lancaster, they will venture away from home to take on Paraclete at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
