Basketball Game Preview: Cooper Jaguars vs. Fairdale Bulldogs

The Cooper Jaguars will face off against the Fairdale Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cooper knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Fairdale likes a good challenge.

It was a proper cat-fight when Cooper duked it out with Walton-Verona on Saturday. Cooper fell 64-57 to Walton-Verona. It was the first time this season that the Jaguars let down their fans at home.

Meanwhile, Fairdale came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Raiders to the tune of 85-57. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 24 points or more this season.

Fairdale's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.7 points over those games. As for Cooper, the loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 15-5.

Cooper beat Fairdale 71-60 in their previous meeting back in December of 2017. Does Cooper have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fairdale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
