Baseball Recap: Owensboro Catholic Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Owensboro Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They never let the Clinton County Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Saturday. The Aces haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Owensboro Catholic got a great performance from Luke Quinn as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched. Quinn has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jaxson White, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Owensboro Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Clinton County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Owensboro Catholic will square off against Apollo on Tuesday. As for Clinton County, they will take on Adair County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
