Basketball Recap: Schley County Falls Despite Big Games from Jordan Hudson and Amir Nelson

If Schley County was feeling good fresh off their 90-17 takedown of Furlow Charter School last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Schley County Wildcats lost 66-42 to the Central Hawks on Tuesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 85-76 back in January.

Schley County's loss came despite strong showings from Amir Nelson and Jordan Hudson. Nelson posted 19 points, while Hudson put up 14 points.

Sema J Copeland was his usual excellent self, putting up 19 points for Central. The matchup was Copeland's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Demarcus White, who earned 12 points.

Schley County's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.

Schley County has already played their next contest, a 69-59 defeat against Macon County on the 29th. As for Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-47 loss against Chattahoochee County on the 29th.
