Softball Recap: James Island Comes Up Short

James Island came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-2 to the Sumter Gamecocks.

James Island saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mary Davis Hancock, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

James Island's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Sumter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6-1 record this season.

As of now, neither James Island nor Sumter have any future games scheduled.
