Basketball Game Preview: Argo Argonauts vs. Hillcrest Hawks

The Argo Argonauts will take on the Hillcrest Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hillcrest took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Argo, who comes in off a win.

Argo is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Lisle: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Argo blew Lisle out of the water with a 51-23 final score. The Argonauts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 28 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were outmatched by Thornton Fractional South and fell 63-36.

The victory got Argo back to even at 8-8. As for Hillcrest, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Things could have been worse for Argo, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-34 loss to Hillcrest in their previous meeting back in January of 2024.
