While Ray's win against Corpus Christi Moody wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Fghtng Texans won by a run and slipped past the Trojans 1-0. The Fghtng Texans haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

OJ Ruiz made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over 5.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
