Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Zalma finally turned things around against Charleston on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bluejays.
Zalma had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-19, 25-10, 25-23.
Meanwhile, Oran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Portageville.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-10, 25-13.
Zalma's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Oran, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11-1.
