Football Recap: Lebanon Trail Comes Up Short

Lebanon Trail lost against Reedy back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trail Blazers were beaten by the Lions 41-3. While losing is never fun, the Trail Blazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 516th, while the Lions are ranked 122nd).

Even if they lost, Lebanon Trail's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Philip McConnell refused to say out of the backfield, picking up a sack all by himself. Lebanon Trail got some further help from McConnell: he picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles.

Lebanon Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Reedy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coincidentally, Lebanon Trail and Reedy will both be playing McKinney North the next time they take the field. The Trail Blazers will host the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th.
